Name: Paul Keizer
Number: 74
Position: OL
Height: 6'4"
Weight: 295
College: South Dakota State

Paul Keizer is entering his second season with the Storm. Keizer and the Storm offensive line allowed only 10 sacks on 437 pass attempts in 2007. The offensive line also helped set team records for most points scored in a season (739) and most rushing yards in a season (1,196). For his work, Keizer was one of only four offensive linemen selected to the All-Star game from the Western Conference. All-Stars were selected by fans voting along with the votes of opposing players and coaches.

The South Dakota State alum quickly became fan favorite with his dominating play and work in the community. Storm President Colin Steen says “You will not find a nicer guy in the league. Paul is a guy that we are so grateful to have as he is a dominant player and a great person.”

Keizer spent time with the Buffalo Bills in the summer of 2006 and was in camp with the Los Angeles Avengers of the AFL before the 2007 season began. A hamstring injury led to his release from both the Bills and Avengers. Keizer, who stands 6’4” 295 lbs, played his first three seasons at South Dakota State as a tight end before converting to offensive guard in 2005. The four-year letterman for the Jacks was Second-Team All-North Central Conference in 2003 and 2004 Second-Team All-Great West Football Conference as a tight end. Keizer was also named to the 2005 All-Great West Football Conference Second-Team as a guard. Keizer received First-Team all-state recognition at Boyden-Hull High School in Iowa as a defensive lineman.
