The Sioux Falls Storm of United Indoor Football (UIF) has added another lineman to upgrade their defensive line. The Storm signed UIF star Rachman Crable, who played last season with the Bloomington Extreme and is now entering his seventh season in indoor football.
Crable played in twelve games with the Extreme last season. He recorded 25 solo tackles and 29 assisted tackles in those twelve games. He also recorded a team high 12.5 tackles for loss, 5.0 sacks, two fumble recoveries, one fumble forced, one blocked kick, and one safety in his first season with the Extreme.
Crable played the previous four seasons with the Fort Wayne Freedom in the National Indoor Football League and United Indoor Football. In 2005, he was tied for first among the league in sacks with 13.0. In 2004, he ranked second in the league with 11.5 sacks. Crable also had 52.5 total tackles with 15.5 of those being for a loss, 2 forced fumbles, broke up 4 passes and blocked one kick in 2004.
Crable finished his college playing days at Ball State in 2001. He was picked up as an undrafted free agent in the summer of 2002 by the New York Giants. The Giants released Crable during training camp in 2002. Crable then joined the Indiana Firebirds of the Arena Football League. Crable was released during the 2003 season and proceeded to join the Freedom.
