Johnsen finished third on the team and set a career high in sacks with four in 2007. He also set a career high in tackles for loss with nine. During the playoffs, Johnsen added two more sacks and four tackles for loss during the Storm’s run to the United Bowl III Championship. Johnsen’s ability to stop the run up the middle allowed the Storm to set a team and league record for least rushing touchdowns allowed with 15. Johnsen and the Storm defense also set a UIF record for least rushing yards allowed as they held opponents to just 677 yards in the regular season.

Johnsen played in 16 games during 2006 for the Storm. He compiled 27 tackles with 9 of those for loss. Johnsen also scored a touchdown after recovering a fumble in a game vs. Rock River last season.

Johnsen, who was a three-year starter at St. Cloud State, had his best collegiate season in 2004. The Aberdeen, SD native had 33 tackles and 2.5 sacks as well as being named to the All-NCC Second Team during the 2004 campaign. Johnsen was hampered by a groin injury in 2005 and still managed 12 tackles and 2 sacks after missing 4 games as the Huskies went 8-3.
